Kentucky State Police Promotions:
The Kentucky State Police announced the promotion of 31 officers at a special ceremony held at the Kentucky History Center in Frankfort. One colonel, three lieutenant colonels, four majors, five captains, seven lieutenants and 11 sergeants were commissioned.

KSP Civilian Awards Ceremony:
The Kentucky State Police honored 27 of its most outstanding civilian employees at a special ceremony held today at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Lexington. Lt. Gov. Stephen B. Pence joined Kentucky State Police Commissioner Mark L. Miller in presenting the awards.

ODCP Media Day:
Director John Walters of the Office of National Drug Control Policy discussed the national epidemic of substance abuse and applauded Kentucky's plan to comprehensively address the problem.
