Frankfort, KY – The Leadership Kentucky Foundation Inc. has selected Deputy Commissioner LaDonna Thompson as one of the 55 participants for the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2007.

Deputy Commissioner Thompson began her career as a Correctional Officer in 1989 at the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex.  She worked her way through the system in various positions at the Kentucky State Reformatory, Luther Luckett Correctional Complex and Central Office.

“I’m from a family of law enforcement officials and have looked to them as role models during my career,” said Thompson.   “My father was a state police officer and has been influential in several of my leadership decisions.”

Thompson is a graduate of Morehead State University and received her degree in psychology and sociology.
